Our client is a leader in the insurance and shipping industry.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Reporting to and directly assisting the Management Accountant/Accounts Manager;
  • Posting of sales invoices;
  • Allocation and posting of payment receipts from overseas customers;
  • Posting of purchases and expense invoices;
  • Preparation of payments to suppliers — both local and overseas — together with the posting and allocation of such payments;
  • Issuing of aged debtor and creditor reports on a monthly basis;
  • Ensuring that the terms of established foreign exchange contracts are adhered;
  • Preparation of monthly bank reconciliation statements;
  • Assistance in the preparation of monthly management accounts;
  • Assistance with ad hoc financial reporting and enquiries.


  • Candidates should at least have an 'A' level standard in Accounts.

  • Ability to work unsupervised as well as part of the team;
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills;
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated;
  • A desire to succeed within a supportive team environment;
  • Have a sound knowledge of Microsoft packages including Excel and Word;
  • Be organised, meticulous and have good analytical skills.
