Company Introduction

Our client is a leading Maltese producer of alcoholic beverages.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Seek out and open new accounts;
  • Prepare and negotiate new and existing contracts;
  • Develop and implement sales initiatives within the establishment to increase turnover;
  • Provide customer service and sales support to all clients;
  • Monitor and follow up sales performance and clients’ payments in relation to contractual or agreed purchases;
  • Organise promotional activities including wine tastings with existing and prospective accounts;
  • Carry out educational training sessions particularly on wine service, preferably at the company's cellars or in-house for key accounts;
  • Nurture public relations with accounts key personnel;
  • Prepare, organise and provide on a regular basis wine list upgrading, point of sale material (as available), wine displays and promotional tools;
  • Invite clients to the wine cellars and carry out a sales presentation and tasting;
  • Report duly;
  • Assist in occasional events and trade shows and act as an ambassador in the best interest for the company.

Experience

  • Must possess at least an “O” level standard of education;
  • Have at least 3 years’ experience in sales and in-field marketing.

Personal Skills

  • Be a solid business negotiator;
  • Be a team player, smart and energetic;
  • Fluency in both English and Maltese (written and spoken);
  • Able to demonstrate drive and self-motivation to meet the customers’ needs;
  • Hold a clean driving license.
