Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Assisting the IT Administrator;
- Installing and configuring computer hardware;
- Providing help desk support and troubleshoot hardware and software issues to ensure business continuity at all times;
- Acting as the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance;
- Setting up configuration of Windows and Office applications;
- Setting up, supporting and maintaining printers;
- Liaising and working with third party vendors;
- Managing software licensing;
- Ensuring backups are successfully done;
- Assisting end-users with day-to-day queries;
- Maintaining and update hardware and software of internal IT Systems;
- Assisting with internal IT server operations including backup, monitoring and reporting;
- Setting up of new PC workstations;
- Configuration of Windows and Office applications;
- Maintaining all documentation and inventory of internal IT systems;
- Escalating issues to 2nd line technical support if required.
Experience
- An IT qualification;
- Minimum of one-year experience in IT support.
Personal Skills
- Basic understanding of WLAN technology and network systems;
- Basic understanding of virtualization and victual infrastructure principles (VMware and Hyper-V);
- Basic understanding of IP addressing and TCP/IP Networking;
- Basic understanding of Microsoft products including Active Directory, Windows Server, Windows OS, Exchange Servicer and Office applications;
- Good command of written and spoken English.
