Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assisting the IT Administrator;
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware;
  • Providing help desk support and troubleshoot hardware and software issues to ensure business continuity at all times;
  • Acting as the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance;
  • Setting up configuration of Windows and Office applications;
  • Setting up, supporting and maintaining printers;
  • Liaising and working with third party vendors;
  • Managing software licensing;
  • Ensuring backups are successfully done;
  • Assisting end-users with day-to-day queries;
  • Maintaining and update hardware and software of internal IT Systems;
  • Assisting with internal IT server operations including backup, monitoring and reporting;
  • Setting up of new PC workstations;
  • Configuration of Windows and Office applications;
  • Maintaining all documentation and inventory of internal IT systems;
  • Escalating issues to 2nd line technical support if required.

Experience 

  • An IT qualification;
  • Minimum of one-year experience in IT support.

Personal Skills

  • Basic understanding of WLAN technology and network systems;
  • Basic understanding of virtualization and victual infrastructure principles (VMware and Hyper-V);
  • Basic understanding of IP addressing and TCP/IP Networking;
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft products including Active Directory, Windows Server, Windows OS, Exchange Servicer and Office applications;
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
