Our client is a leading player in the security sector.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Prepare and submit timely and accurate monthly management accounts for assigned entities;
  • Compile and file VAT returns in accordance with statutory deadlines and regulations;
  • Ensure full compliance with statutory obligations, internal financial procedures, and company policies;
  • Evaluate and enhance existing internal control frameworks, including the redesign of processes where required;
  • Monitor and control company costs by preparing standard costing reports, job/project costings, and financial feasibility analyses for tenders or other strategic initiatives;
  • Coordinate the budgeting process for designated companies in collaboration with the line manager;
  • Assist with cash flow management, including preparation of forecasts and ensuring alignment with business targets;
  • Carry out monthly work-in-progress (WIP) calculations, ensuring accuracy in line with ongoing project requirements;
  • Produce ad hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by senior management;
  • Offer data-driven insights and recommendations to support improved financial performance and operational efficiency;
  • Lead and support the accounts team, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of objectives and high-quality output.

Experience

  • Fully qualified ACCA, in the final stages of qualification, or holding a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
  • Experience in a project-based environment is an asset;
  • Strong command of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and data analysis for reporting;
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, including the preparation of management accounts, budgeting, cost control, and project/job costing;
  • Familiarity with accounting systems or ERP platforms; experience with SAGE or ACCESS Dimensions is a plus;
  • Good knowledge of VAT regulations and statutory compliance;
  • Ability to carry out financial feasibility assessments and support data-driven decision-making.
