Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Welcome clients in a courteous, composed, and professional manner;
  • Serve as the initial point of contact, guiding visitors to the appropriate department or team member;
  • Assist the Deposit Sales team with day-to-day sales and advisory tasks related to the Company's deposit products;
  • Oversee the reception and waiting area to ensure an organised, efficient, and welcoming environment;
  • Handle incoming telephone calls and transfer them to the relevant departments;
  • Respond to general client queries, including information about opening hours, required documentation, and available services;
  • Confirm scheduled appointments and inform the relevant staff member upon the client’s arrival;
  • Check and record incoming mail on a daily basis;
  • Maintain awareness of security procedures, monitor visitor access, and report any irregular or suspicious activity;
  • Ensure the reception area remains clean, orderly, and presentable at all times;
  • Maintain a general understanding of the bank’s products and services in order to assist clients effectively;
  • Arrange refreshments, including coffee and water, for clients and meetings held in boardrooms.

Experience

  • Prior experience in a receptionist, front office, or client-facing position, ideally within a corporate or banking setting;
  • Good spoken English; knowledge of Maltese will be considered an advantage;
  • Comfortable using basic office systems, including email, calendar tools, and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Professional presentation combined with a friendly and approachable manner;
  • Able to stay composed, organised, and discreet in a fast-paced environment;
