Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Monitor trading activities and adequate risk exposure by analyzing markets while mitigating risk through hedging;
• Perform market analysis and research, provide internal training if required;
• Review trading conditions regarding offered symbols and adjust spreads, commissions, swaps, dividends, and trading sessions;
• Ensure that trade execution is in compliance with the Firm’s best execution policy;
• Measure the impact of new features by conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis;
• Obtain the best pricing and execution by communicating with the Firm’s liquidity providers to resolve issues related to price slippage, low liquidity, and quote filtering;
• Execute trade order instructions in line with processes set out in the Firm’s Procedure Manuals;
• Follow up on pending trade orders with Firm’s counterparties and brokers;
• Resolve external and internal queries relating to trade orders;
• Attend monthly team meetings;
• Keep abreast of all rules, regulations and directives issued by the MFSA / ESMA, particularly MifiD II and other related bodies which are relevant to daily duties;
• Take on any necessary training that is required from time to time, including training that is required due to change in internal processes and procedures;
• Any ad hoc tasks which may be required from time to time.

Experience

• Possess a College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience;
• Strong command of Microsoft Excel is required.
