Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers;
• Monitor and optimize network performance to ensure high availability and reliability;
• Conduct network capacity planning and scalability assessments;
• Deploy and manage security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs to protect the organization’s assets;
• Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats and adapt security measures accordingly;
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing;
• Develop and implement incident response plans to address security breaches or vulnerabilities;
• Investigate and mitigate security incidents, including conducting forensic analysis when necessary;
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify and resolve security issues;
• Create and enforce security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations;
• Educate employees on security best practices and conduct security awareness training;
• Evaluate, select, and manage third-party vendors and solutions related to networking and security;
• Collaborate with vendors to resolve issues and stay informed about product updates;
• Maintain accurate records of network configurations, security policies, and incident reports;
• Create comprehensive network and security documentation for reference and training.

Experience

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field;
• Professional certifications, such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, HPE, Cisco, or equivalent, are preferred;
• Proven experience in network engineering and security, including the design and management of complex network environments;
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and security best practices;
• Familiarity with firewall management, intrusion detection/prevention, and VPN technologies;
• Proficiency in network and security monitoring tools;
• Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
