Our client is a leading law firm.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide legal counsel services on various aspects of compliance, AML and Regulatory affairs;
  • Keep abreast with all developments in AML, Regulatory, Data Protection/GDPR, Commercial and Financial Services;
  • Contribute to the firm’s public exposure by authoring articles on local and international developments of interest to the firm’s client base;
  • Approaching existing and new client companies and holding meetings with them to handle requests and/or promote the firm’s services;
  • Liaising with third party organisations, particularly government organisations, for the provision of any data and information that may be legally required by clients;
  • Assisting in setting up and administering companies, drafting agreements and resolutions, powers of attorney and similar documents;
  • Handling anti-money laundering compliance procedures on behalf of clients;
  • Drafting and presentation of legal replies;
  • Act as a central point of contact for correspondence with clients, notaries, external advisors, banks, regulatory and governmental organizations and other relevant parties;
  • Handle legal and corporate matters for our clients, such as incorporations, liquidations, annual meetings of shareholders, board meetings, share purchases etc. in close cooperation with the client, notaries, law firms and tax advisors;
  • Draft legal documents e.g. management agreements, minutes of board meetings, loan agreements, etc;
  • Review and assess relevant legal documentation and advice from third parties;
  • Manage different types of contracts, legal reports and supporting documentation;
  • Collection and verification of due diligence in accordance with KYC procedures;
  • Assistance with opening of bank accounts and other individual requirements of High Net Worth clients.

Experience

  • A legal warrant of practice issued in Malta backed up by further relevant qualifications;
  • A minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in a similar environment.

  • Proficient in the use of all Microsoft applications;
