Our client is a well-established importer and distributor of quality Foods and Beverages.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Report to the IT Manager;
  • Support and assist in capacity planning – Network and Server, archiving, reporting;
  • Coordinate and support change Management – Service changes preparation, patch updates, users, printers;
  • Coordinate hardware Installation / Replacement / Relocation of computer devices, NIC, RAM, telephone, cabling, etc.;
  • Plan, manage and undertake regular preventative maintenance – Daily/Weekly/planned Shutdown/Startup, printers, backups, system tuning for performance;
  • Be responsible for regular Monitoring – Daily/Weekly monitoring of disk space (server and user), printers, servers and workstations, all log files, etc.;
  • Undertake software Installation/Upgrades/removal – Operating Systems, Antivirus / malware software, applications;
  • Maintain, implement and test server side or client side in-house developed scripts;
  • Support and assist in trouble-shooting / problem solving / root cause analyses – End-client hardware issues, network connectivity, network services and other fault-finding requirements;
  • Offer comprehensive ERP Support – Navision, EyeSel, Shireburn, Quadro technical and end-user support;
  • Undertake Users' formal and informal on-the-job training;
  • Manage document control throughout the IT function – adhering to IT policies and procedures and ensuring up-to-date and well maintained documentation;
  • Planning and support of any ad-hoc projects that may come up from time to time.


  • Have a minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role.

Personal Skills

  • Have strong communication (written and verbal) skills in Maltese and English and able to effectively interact with individuals across all levels of the organisation;
  • Good knowledge of networking concepts, configuration, security and monitoring;
  • Good knowledge of MS Windows Server and Windows operating systems;
  • Be able to prioritise and work under pressure without compromising quality.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday 8.30 – 17.00.
