Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Support the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring full compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and listed-company obligations;
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records;
- Prepare and post journal entries within the accounting system;
- Perform bank reconciliations and investigate any variances or discrepancies;
- Prepare monthly reconciliation reports and supporting schedules;
- Issue customer invoices and ensure accurate billing records are maintained;
- Monitor incoming payments, update records accordingly, and assist with the follow-up of outstanding receivables;
- Carry out preparatory work, financial analysis, and supporting schedules for reporting to senior management and external stakeholders;
- Operate in line with established internal controls, procedures, and governance frameworks to safeguard company assets and ensure reliable financial reporting;
- Assist with internal and external audit processes, including the preparation of documentation and responses to audit queries;
- Support internal committees and operational working groups involved in monitoring business performance and compliance matters.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree at MQF Level 6 in Accounting or an equivalent qualification (e.g. ACCA);
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience within an accounting or finance function;
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and basic risk management concepts.
- Experience using accounting software.
