Company Introduction

Our client is a boutique accounting and auditing firm.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage a portfolio of liquidation cases (CVLs, MVLs, and compulsory liquidations) from initiation through closure;
  • Review, reconcile, and prepare financial statements, management accounts, and asset/liability schedules;
  • Assist with the identification, valuation, and realization of assets in collaboration with legal and valuation professionals;
  • Handle creditor claims, liaise on disputes, and maintain clear and transparent communication throughout the process;
  • Calculate and process distributions to creditors and shareholders in line with applicable legislation;
  • Prepare statutory reports such as SIP 6 and SIP 9, ensuring compliance with insolvency legislation and regulatory requirements;
  • Submit documents to regulatory authorities, including Companies House and the Insolvency Service;
  • Act as the primary point of contact for directors, creditors, solicitors, and regulators;
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns, final tax computations, and liaise with HMRC or equivalent tax authorities;
  • Support the preparation of files for internal and external audits or regulatory inspections.

Experience

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified, or part-qualified with relevant experience;
  • 2–5 years of experience in insolvency or accounting, ideally with direct exposure to liquidation work;
  • Solid understanding of insolvency procedures, particularly MVLs and CVLs;
  • Strong technical accounting and reconciliation skills;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and insolvency case management software (e.g., IPS, Turnkey, or similar).
