Company Introduction

Our client is a food producer and distributor based in Gozo.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Process and post sales and purchase invoices accurately within the accounting system;
  • Prepare and execute payment runs in accordance with company procedures;
  • Record customer receipts and follow up on outstanding balances to ensure timely collection of debts;
  • Prepare cashbook entries and perform periodic cash reconciliations;
  • Carry out regular bank, supplier, and intercompany reconciliations;
  • Support month-end closing procedures and related accounting tasks;
  • Maintain organised and accurate filing of financial documentation;
  • Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and management accounts;
  • Compile financial reports and perform monthly computations as required by management.

Experience

  • In possession of an Advanced Diploma in Accounting/AAT or an A-Level qualification in Accounts;
  • Previous experience in an accounts or finance-related role will be considered an asset;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Organised and detail-oriented with strong numerical accuracy;
  • Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines;
  • Reliable and proactive in carrying out assigned responsibilities.
