Our client is a property development company.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely updates to the general ledger;
  • Issue client invoices, process incoming and outgoing payments, and monitor overdue accounts;
  • Reconcile bank statements and verify the accuracy of financial transactions;
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis;
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently;
  • Ensure adherence to relevant accounting principles and regulatory obligations;
  • Organise and maintain proper filing systems for financial documentation;
  • Provide support in payroll administration and statutory submissions (e.g., VAT, GST, TDS, where applicable);
  • Liaise with internal departments to address billing issues or financial concerns;
  • Carry out additional finance-related tasks as delegated by the Finance Manager.

Experience

  • An A' Level in Accounting is required; 
  • Fluency in both Maltese and English;
  • Previous experience in a similar role will be considered an asset;
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and familiarity with accounting software;
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications;
  • Possession of a relevant professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is a strong advantage;
  • Additional business-related qualifications will also be favourably considered.

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
