Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Help in the preparation of monthly management accounts, which involves preparing various end-of-month reports, calculating and posting monthly accruals and prepayment adjustments, as well as reviewing nominal ledgers up to the trial balance stage;
  • Support cash flow management efforts;
  • Implement quality control measures for financial transactions and financial reporting;
  • Aid in the submission of Tax, Compliance, and other Returns and Questionnaires;
  • Assist in maintaining relationships with financial institutions, investors, and other stakeholders;
  • Contribute to the preparation of yearly budgets;
  • Prepare the necessary documentation for the Company's external audits and collaborate with external auditors under the guidance of the Financial Controller;
  • Assist in the preparation of yearly financial reporting, including the consolidation of the Company's financials;
  • Identify opportunities for improving efficiency or enhancing internal control as part of continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Lead and develop the finance team, offering guidance, mentoring, and conducting performance evaluations;
  • Together with the Financial Controller, collaorate on compiling VAT reports and Eco tax submissions;
  • Address queries from all other management personnel;
  • Give feedback to the Financial Controller;
  • Collaborate closely with all other members of the finance team;
  • Handle any other finance-related tasks that come up.

Experience

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field;
  • Previous experience as an assistant financial controller or in a senior finance role;
  • Understand accounting principles, financial regulations, taxation legislations and financial reporting standards;
  • Knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, and analysis;
  • Experience in cash flow management, cost control, and financial risk assessment;
  • Be proficient in financial software and systems;
  • Excellent knowledge of MS office package, especially MS Excel;
  • A Master's degree and/or professional qualification such as CPA, CFA, or ACCA would be considered an asset.
