Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Support the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budget forecasts;
  • Perform financial analysis to highlight trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement;
  • Ensure all financial activities comply with relevant accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory guidelines;
  • Work closely with other departments to collect and analyze financial data, supporting informed business decisions;
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures;
  • Help develop and enforce financial policies and standard operating procedures;
  • Support internal control processes and contribute to audit preparations;
  • Handle ad-hoc financial tasks and assist with special projects as needed;
  • Manage general accounting functions, including accurate data entry and verification of financial transactions;
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on financial systems and procedures;
  • Oversee departmental operations, addressing issues proactively and ensuring smooth workflow;
  • Take part in training initiatives and actively pursue personal and professional development opportunities.

Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an  ACCA qualification;
  • Certification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or an equivalent;
  • Possess 2-3 years of hands-on experience in accounting or finance, ideally within the hospitality sector;
  • Familiarity with hotel-specific accounting practices is considered a strong advantage;
  • Solid grasp of financial reporting, budgeting processes, and forecasting techniques;
  • Comfortable using accounting software and financial systems;
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and confidence working with data analysis tools;
  • Good understanding of local tax laws and compliance regulations.
