Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Identify and engage with property owners, developers, project managers, and architects to source potential investors and properties for construction contracts;
  • Represent the company in all communications with key stakeholders, ensuring a professional and solution-oriented approach;
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with banks and financing institutions to support project funding and development;
  • Assist in compiling feasibility studies and drafting comprehensive business plans to support new opportunities and investments;
  • Monitor and evaluate tenders for both public and private construction projects, ensuring timely and competitive participation;
  • Coordinate the preparation and submission of tender documentation in collaboration with relevant departments;
  • Oversee high-level project supervision and contract management, working closely with engineers and quantity surveyors to ensure successful project execution;
  • Lead and support the engineering team, facilitating coordination and communication to meet project goals;
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients, project managers, and architects, representing the contractor throughout the project lifecycle;
  • Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date database of clients, subcontractors, suppliers, project stakeholders, and industry contacts;
  • Manage the daily business development operations of the company in Malta, ensuring strategic goals are met;
  • Prepare and deliver monthly progress and performance reports to senior management;
  • Draft, review, and certify monthly company payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal processes;
  • Monitor and manage operational expenses for the branch, maintaining budgetary control and financial efficiency;
  • Supervise personnel across various functions, promoting a productive and collaborative work environment;
  • Act as the company’s representative in dealings with public authorities, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Experience

  • Hold a university qualification in engineering, construction, or another relevant technical discipline;
  • Solid computer literacy and ability to work efficiently with digital tools;
  • Previous experience within the construction industry will be considered a strong asset.

  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills;
  • Confident communicator with effective negotiation and interpersonal skills;
  • Proactive, adaptable, and capable of working independently with initiative;
  • Strong organizational capabilities and the ability to plan and prioritise effectively.
