Our Client is a provider of trust and corporate services.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Reporting directly to the Manager Client Accounting;
  • Responsible for the preparation of Trust and Company financial statements and management accounts;
  • Establishing and managing the accounting department;
  • Managing and developing the Client Accounting function and relationships for services provided to other group offices; 
  • Plan and priorities own workload and that of the team to ensure that both internal and external
  • Making sure targets/deadlines are achieved;
  • Act as a point of reference on bookkeeping, complex and technical matters;
  • Carrying out reviews of financial statements;
  • Liaison with other offices within the Group;
  • Available to assist in other duties as and when requested;
  • Coaching and training of less experienced team members;
  • Responsible for overseeing the activities of a small, but growing team.

Experience

  • Holding an ACA, ACCA qualification or a University Degree;
  • Experience in a similar role is a must.

Personal Skills

  • Good communication skills in both written and spoken English;
  • Solid understanding of the preparation of financial statements under GAPSME, IFRS and FRS;
  • A positive ‘can do’ attitude;
  • Innovative team player with the ability to work effectively under pressure;
  • Ability to work to deadlines with moderate supervision.
