Our client is an accounting firm.Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage a portfolio of clients, acting as a key point of contact for accounting and related matters;
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements;
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analysis;
- Manage and support payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion;
- Respond to client accounting and payroll queries, providing guidance and support where required;
- Supervise and support junior team members through training, task allocation, and review of work;
- Liaise with external auditors and assist with audit-related requirements and processes;
- Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and operational workflows;
- Assist clients with financing-related requirements;
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, data protection requirements, and professional standards.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ progressive experience within an accounting role, ideally within a practice or client-facing environment;
- Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting standards and accounting processes;
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or ACCA qualified;
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Xero) and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
