Our client is a professional service firm.Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Record and maintain accurate financial transactions and accounting records;
- Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other financial documentation;
- Perform regular bank and account reconciliations;
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including following up on outstanding payments;
- Assist with payroll preparation and employee expense reimbursements;
- Prepare financial reports, spreadsheets, and account summaries;
- Carry out month-end and year-end closing activities;
- Maintain organised accounting documentation for audit and compliance purposes;
- Support audit activities, tax filings, and financial analysis;
- Ensure accounting activities are carried out in accordance with client policies and established procedures;
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal departments regarding accounting and financial matters;
- Review work completed by junior associates and provide guidance, training, and feedback;
- Support the mentoring and development of junior team members;
- Assist Managers, Directors, and Partners with financial analysis, reporting, and special projects;
- Provide support on additional accounting assignments and related projects as required.
Experience
- Must be a qualified accountant with an MQF Level 7 qualification or equivalent;
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar accounting position is required;
- Fluency in English is required, while knowledge of Maltese will be considered an asset.
