Our client is a leading tax, audit and advisory firm.
Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Handle the preparation, maintenance, and finalization of financial records and accounting data;
- Input and manage both technical and non-technical data within accounting systems;
- Prepare and file personal income tax returns in a timely manner;
- Compile and submit VAT returns in accordance with regulatory deadlines;
- Assist in the preparation of management accounts and financial reporting;
- Generate trial balances and ensure their accuracy;
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date cash books;
- Record and manage accounting journals as part of the general ledger process;
- Liaise with relevant regulatory and supervisory bodies when required.
Experience
- Hold an ACCA qualification or a degree in Accountancy from the University of Malta;
- Previous experience working in an accounting environment will be considered an asset;
- Competent in using Microsoft Office tools, with advanced skills in Excel considered an advantage;
- Excellent command of both English and Maltese, in written and verbal communication.
