Company Introduction

Our client is a leading tax, audit and advisory firm.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Handle the preparation, maintenance, and finalization of financial records and accounting data;
  • Input and manage both technical and non-technical data within accounting systems;
  • Prepare and file personal income tax returns in a timely manner;
  • Compile and submit VAT returns in accordance with regulatory deadlines;
  • Assist in the preparation of management accounts and financial reporting;
  • Generate trial balances and ensure their accuracy;
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date cash books;
  • Record and manage accounting journals as part of the general ledger process;
  • Liaise with relevant regulatory and supervisory bodies when required.

Experience

  • Hold an ACCA qualification or a degree in Accountancy from the University of Malta;
  • Previous experience working in an accounting environment will be considered an asset;
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office tools, with advanced skills in Excel considered an advantage;
  • Excellent command of both English and Maltese, in written and verbal communication.
