Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Facilitate the management of internal audit procedures, practices, and documentation;
  • Support in the development and administration of company policies, including those related to risk management;
  • Contribute to the delivery of comprehensive AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and CFT (Counter Financing of Terrorism) training programs;
  • Ensure strict compliance with anti-money laundering laws and sanctions across multiple jurisdictions, including the reporting of suspicious transactions;
  • Oversee the continuous monitoring and review of all communications and notifications sent to regulatory bodies;
  • Gather and maintain client due diligence documentation in accordance with established client onboarding procedures;
  • Conduct Client Risk Assessments during the onboarding phase and regularly thereafter;
  • Perform thorough client screening investigations and analysis;
  • Enforce in-house client acceptance requirements;
  • Re-evaluate client relationships in alignment with the company’s quality and risk management protocols;
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to address inquiries, provide guidance, and collect necessary information to fulfill AML/CFT compliance procedures, including compliance checks;
  • Maintain records, both physically and electronically, ensuring data accuracy and integrity;
  • Prepare and submit required statutory filings while fulfilling other statutory obligations as needed.

Experience

  • Have at least 1 year of experience working within compliance and/or regulatory compliance;
  • Knowledge of Corporate industry regulations and standards;
  • Have a strong working knowledge of the Maltese regulatory framework and AML / CFT Handbook;
  • Knowledge in Due diligence & AML functions & practices;
  • Be fluent in both written and spoken English;
  • Be proficient in the use of Office Applications.
