Company Introduction

Our client is a family-owned group of companies specializing in the importation and distribution of FMCG.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Reconcile intercompany balances for all group companies associated with the parent companies;
  • Assist with the preparation of the monthly management accounts;
  • Handle day-to-day input of accounting transactions;
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations;
  • Prepare sales or receivables reconciliations and chase pending balances;
  • Prepare payables reconciliations and payments;
  • Assist with the preparation of VAT returns;
  • Assist in audit process;
  • Assist the Portfolio Accounting Manager with the preparation of budgets for the year;
  • Maintain and issue management fees to subsidiaries, where applicable;
  • Issue recharges to subsidiaries, where applicable;
  • Liaise with the operations team on finance related matters to carry out the monthly close;
  • Perform other essential tasks to uphold a clean Trial Balance and generate accurate monthly management accounts;
  • Any other ad hoc duties related to the role.

Experience

  • Hold a minimum A-level standard of education in Accounts;
  • Have 5 years or more work experience in a similar position;
  • Be fluent in business English;
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Excel.

  • Must be able to work both on own initiative and in a team;
  • Excellent communication skills.
