Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform routine analysis of product costs to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness;
  • Foster collaboration with procurement and production teams to collect cost data and assess cost-effectiveness;
  • Monitor and report on inventory levels, identifying potential stock shortages or excesses;
  • Cultivate strong relationships with warehouse teams to ensure precise recording of inventory transactions;
  • Conduct thorough analysis of stock take results, and investigate variances;
  • Assist in developing and implementing inventory control procedures;
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of reports detailing cost variances and inventory turnover;
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to streamline efforts in optimizing inventory levels and reducing costs.

Experience

  • Hold an A ‘level standard in accounting, or a related field;
  • Demonstrate prior experience in cost accounting and in inventory management;
  • Exhibit familiarity with fundamental cost accounting principles and various inventory management systems. Proficiency in Shireburn Inventory Management System (SIMS) is advantageous;
  • Possess advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other pertinent software applications;
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting standards and regulations.
