Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Issue client invoices promptly and accurately, ensuring timely delivery;
  • Maintain up-to-date and well-organized financial and accounting records;
  • Conduct bank reconciliations, investigating discrepancies and posting necessary adjustments;
  • Manage creditor entries in the general ledger, ensuring precise and complete transaction records;
  • Contribute to monthly and annual closing activities, supporting financial reporting tasks;
  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping and perform regular reconciliations to support reporting accuracy;
  • Assist in compiling budgets, financial statements, and internal management reports;
  • Ensure all financial practices comply with relevant accounting standards and company policies;
  • Coordinate with auditors by preparing and supplying required financial data and documentation;
  • Collaborate effectively with the finance team to maintain smooth day-to-day accounting operations;
  • Communicate with various departments to support integrated financial workflows;
  • Recommend and help implement improvements to enhance process efficiency;
  • Support forecasting activities and assist in conducting financial data analysis.

Experience

  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience in an accounting or finance-related role;
  • Solid command of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, for data analysis and financial reporting;
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Maltese, both written and spoken;
  • Familiarity with ERP systems or financial software is considered an asset;
  • Solid understanding of core accounting practices and financial compliance standards.

  • Competent in analysing financial data, spotting irregularities, and recommending corrective actions;
  • Applies critical thinking to support sound financial planning and decision-making;
  • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to work confidently with complex figures and datasets;
  • Self-motivated and proactive in managing tasks and adjusting priorities as needed;
  • Quick to learn and adapt to evolving financial tools, systems, and technologies.
