Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assess training needs by analyzing employee performance data and gathering feedback from managers;
  • Design and implement targeted training programs to bridge skill gaps and enhance workforce capabilities;
  • Coordinate with external training providers and oversee all logistical aspects of training sessions;
  • Measure training effectiveness through participant feedback and performance evaluations;
  • Offer continuous learning support, ensuring employees have access to relevant development resources;
  • Work closely with managers to facilitate annual performance evaluations;
  • Conduct periodic post-review meetings with employees to assess their experience and ensure fair, transparent, and consistent performance management;
  • Maintain and analyze performance review data within the HRIS, tracking progress on agreed targets and deadlines;
  • Support managers in identifying growth opportunities for employees and assist in implementing performance improvement plans when necessary;
  • Develop and execute initiatives to boost employee engagement and job satisfaction;
  • Plan and organize engagement activities and company-wide events;
  • Collect and analyze employee feedback through surveys, focus groups, and direct conversations to identify trends and areas for improvement;
  • Collaborate with various teams to address concerns and enhance the overall employee experience;
  • Stay informed about local and international funding opportunities for employee training to optimize cost savings for the company;
  • Design and promote workplace wellbeing initiatives that support employees' physical, mental, and emotional health;
  • Develop policies that encourage work-life balance and a healthy workplace culture;
  • Provide employees with resources on stress management, resilience, and mental health awareness;
  • Continuously monitor and refine wellbeing programs based on employee feedback and measurable outcomes;
  • Address daily HR-related concerns by offering practical solutions aligned with company policies and objectives;
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding local labor regulations, company policies, and HR procedures;
  • Prepare reports and presentations that highlight key achievements, challenges, and opportunities for improvement;
  • Stand in for the HR Executive responsible for work permit applications and renewals where required.
  • Carry out additional HR-related duties as required;
  • Foster a culture of health and safety awareness across the organization.

Experience

  • A tertiary-level qualification in Human Resources, Psychology, or a Diploma in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or Psychology;
  • Possess  a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience;
  • Strong understanding of training and development strategies and effective learning methodologies;
  • Familiarity with applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices related to employee development and workplace wellbeing;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Maltese;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications;
  • Basic understanding of budgeting principles and financial management practices.
