Company Introduction

Our client are a market leader in commercial vehicle imports & exports, and vehicle servicing.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Reporting to the Operations Director;
  • Processing new hires, terminations, transfers, promotions, and existing employee changes;
  • Manage the interview process;
  • Responsible for recruitment;
  • Drafting of job descriptions for new positions in conjunction with line managers;
  • Prepare monthly payroll calculations and checking and updating daily employees’ punching;
  • Assist in employee onboarding and termination procedures;
  • Responsible for the administration of HR and company policies and programs;
  • Update and maintain various HR reports and employee information for payroll, benefits, and employee files;
  • Collaborate on and follow company policies, practices, and procedures to maintain internal controls;
  • Advise the Management Team on all people and HR issues;
  • Plan and conduct new employee orientation sessions;
  • Familiarize with local law related to employment, JobsPlus forms, ID Malta and other related parties;
  • Organise staff events, one to one meetings and employee of the quarter/year;
  • Organise training and keep a record of all training given;
  • Daily walkthrough with all the employees in our workshops and administration departments;
  • Create HR related reports and KPIs;
  • Ensure that Health and Safety policies are being practiced by liaising with the Company’s Health and Safety Officer;
  • Other admin duties when required.

Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Human Resources field;
  • Experience in Maltese employment law.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Strong recruiting and demonstrated ability to improve talent acquisition strategies;
  • Able to work on own initiative and creative;
  • Demonstrated expertise training managers and employees;
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal and management skills;
  • Highly skilled in managing confidential issues with discretion;
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking and communications skills;
  • Basic knowledge of GDPR policy;
  • Attention to detail and good judgment.
