Company Introduction

Our client is a leader in the insurance industry.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Handle administrative work on a daily basis;
  • Perform, handle and assist in the completion of the monthly closure tasks and reporting;
  • Handle insurance related activities of different companies;
  • Post invoices and handle insurance related activities;
  • Complete monthly closing of consolidation packages (SUIG & SAP-BPC);
  • Perform monthly reconciliations between consolidation and accounting packages;
  • Follow up on Head Office finance periodic controls and audits;
  • Prepare monthly management accounts;
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts;
  • Reconciliation of bank and investment records and analysis of all discrepancies;
  • Management of insurance receivables and payables;
  • Perform claims reconciliation with different intermediaries and follow-up on any unreconciled claims;
  • Compile and document new accounting policies and procedures, as well as update and maintain existing ones;
  • Help out in drafting workflows and related accounting schemes for new projects;
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors during interim and year-end audits on tasks owned;
  • Maintain intercompany reconciliations and ensure all discrepancies are analysed and reconciled;
  • Assist in the preparation of data used for Solvency II reporting;
  • Preparation of Transfer order forms for payments between own accounts and perform bank transfers where necessary, on a timely basis;
  • Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements.


  • Currently undertaking the ACCA certification or equivalent qualification;
  • Good understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Accounting Standards (IAS);
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications especially Microsoft Excel;
  • Previous experience in a similar working environment;
  • Previous experience in auditing or the insurance industry would be considered an asset, although not a requirement.
