Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Working with the Finance Executives to ensure postings and statements for purchases are up to date;
- Assisting and keep track of credit control section, including handling debtors chasing when needed;
- Preparing of the monthly management accounts of various companies;
- Preparing of VAT returns and submission thereof;
- Improving on existing internal control procedures, including re-drafting of procedures where necessary;
- Be responsible for executing the budgeting process for the Companies under the remit of the line manager;
- Assisting the GCFO in maintaining full control over the cash-flow and rolling forecasts thereof;
- Preparing of ad hoc reports as requested by the GCFO;
- Liaising with auditors during audits and when the need arises;
- Handling and assisting on other matters that fall within the scope of this role.
Experience
- At least 1 year experience in an accounting department;
- Being in the final stages of ACCA or possessing a university degree is a must;
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office;
- Excellent written and oral skills in both English and Maltese;
- Understanding of how the account system works;
