Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist in designing and refining SQL queries to support data extraction and reporting needs;
• Help develop and maintain scalable, modern Business Intelligence (BI) systems;
• Contribute to building and maintaining API integrations, including both REST and SOAP;
• Assist in creating BI reports and dashboards using a variety of tools;
• Support modern data initiatives such as data mesh structures and the development of web-based dashboards (e.g., system health indicators);
• Aid in collecting and integrating data from multiple sources and preparing it for analysis;
• Work closely with colleagues to understand business needs and turn them into practical data solutions;
• Help ensure data used in analysis and reporting is accurate and reliable;
• Provide day-to-day support to the BI team, including troubleshooting and resolving basic data-related issues;
• Maintain up-to-date documentation, such as data schemas, lineage diagrams, and API specifications, under the guidance of the BI Architect;
• Follow best practices related to data quality, governance, and compliance;
• Take part in Agile development processes and contribute to sprint activities and deliverables.

Experience

• Strong knowledge of SQL (queries, joins, aggregations);
• Proficient in C#-based ETL development and Microsoft SSIS;
• Experience with API integrations (SOAP & REST);
• Skilled in semantic data modelling using Microsoft SSAS Tabular or Power BI semantic models;
• Solid understanding of Business Intelligence concepts including reporting, dashboards, and data visualization;
• Familiar with Data Lake and Data Warehousing (DWH) principles and benefits;
• Basic knowledge of data governance, including row-level security (RLS) and data access control;
• Experience with Power BI and exposure to the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem is a plus;
• Exposure to cloud platforms, preferably Azure, and cloud data architecture is advantageous;
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git version control, and DevOps practices in data workflows is beneficial;
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or R is an advantage;
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is a plus;
• Exposure to other BI tools such as Tableau, Qlik, or Looker is beneficial;
• Industry knowledge in automotive is an added bonus.
