Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Support the preparation and submission of state and local tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals as required;
  • Assist senior staff with tax planning, research, and advisory tasks;
  • Maintain and update tax records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements;
  • Perform data entry and reconcile accounts related to tax transactions;
  • Assist with tax audits and respond to queries from tax authorities;
  • Monitor and keep up to date with changes in tax legislation and regulations;
  • Prepare reports detailing tax liabilities, payments, and filings;
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary financial information and documentation;
  • Ensure all tax-related filings and documentation are accurate and submitted on time.

Experience

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline;
  • Possess between 0-2 years of experience in tax or general accounting, including internships;
  • Progress toward CPA or enrolled agent certification is advantageous;
  • Solid understanding of fundamental accounting and tax principles;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/tax software (e.g., QuickBooks, ProSeries, or equivalent).

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills;
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
