Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Support the preparation and submission of state and local tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals as required;
- Assist senior staff with tax planning, research, and advisory tasks;
- Maintain and update tax records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements;
- Perform data entry and reconcile accounts related to tax transactions;
- Assist with tax audits and respond to queries from tax authorities;
- Monitor and keep up to date with changes in tax legislation and regulations;
- Prepare reports detailing tax liabilities, payments, and filings;
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary financial information and documentation;
- Ensure all tax-related filings and documentation are accurate and submitted on time.
Experience
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline;
- Possess between 0-2 years of experience in tax or general accounting, including internships;
- Progress toward CPA or enrolled agent certification is advantageous;
- Solid understanding of fundamental accounting and tax principles;
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/tax software (e.g., QuickBooks, ProSeries, or equivalent).
