Company Introduction
Our client is a private boutique law firm.Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Draft commercial and property contracts for the firm and clients, ensuring timely completion;
- Coordinate with notaries, legal advisers, architects, and other relevant professionals as needed;
- Stay updated on legal developments, especially in property, real estate, and commercial law;
- Provide legal support for high-profile transactions involving developers, principals, contractors, leading consultants, and advisors;
- Work with partners handling litigation in the Courts of Law;
- Advise the firm proactively on the enactment of relevant laws, the issuance of legal notices, and property law policies;
- Oversee the pre- and post-publication procedures of deeds and ensure all necessary documents are prepared;
- Liaise with various governmental and non-governmental organizations, such as the Lands Authority, Planning Authority, MBR, financial institutions, and others;
- Undertake additional duties as assigned;
- Manage in-house legal projects, including drafting and uploading position papers and articles for the website.
Experience
- Possess a Law degree from the University of Malta;
- Be a warranted lawyer;
- Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role;
- Possess a thorough understanding of Maltese Property Law;
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of various development legislation and planning laws;
- Have experience drafting commercial and property agreements within a law firm or corporate legal team;
- Recent graduates with experience in contract drafting within a Notarial or legal firm will also be considered;
- Exhibit strong proficiency in spoken and written business English and Maltese; knowledge of French is an advantage.
