Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Oversee and mentor a multidisciplinary team including nurses, carers, support staff, and external healthcare professionals;
  • Maintain and promote high-quality care standards in accordance with professional and regulatory requirements;
  • Manage the daily operations of care facility floors, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery;
  • Ensure the consistent availability of appropriate staffing, equipment, and supplies to support uninterrupted care services;
  • Review and evaluate current nursing and care procedures to ensure relevance and effectiveness;
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, considering operational needs and aligning with internal care standards;
  • Track clinical outcomes, conducts internal audits, and implement strategies for continuous quality enhancement;
  • Act as the primary communication bridge between residents, families, medical professionals, and the management team;
  • Manage incidents, complaints, and urgent situations with professionalism, empathy, and swift resolution;
  • Play a central role in staff motivation, development, and performance assessments;
  • Work towards achieving operational and clinical KPIs as determined by senior leadership;
  • Lead health education initiatives and coordinate ongoing training programs for care staff in collaboration with HR;
  • Support an environment that facilitates change and introduces innovative efficient care structures and processes that are beneficial to residents and the organization.

Experience

  • Hold a valid nursing registration with the Council for Nurses and Midwives (CNM) in Malta;
  • Demonstrated background in a supervisory or senior-level nursing position;
  • Solid understanding of healthcare standards, clinical protocols, and safety regulations;
  • Confident in using computers and familiar with Microsoft Office applications.

  • Compassionate, patient, and able to effectively lead and inspire a diverse healthcare team;
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and spoken, in English;
