Company Introduction

Our client is a leading Maltese producer of alcoholic beverages.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Oversee and coordinate the entire bottling and packaging operations to ensure smooth and timely execution;
  • Manage inventory and warehousing processes, ensuring accuracy in stock handling, storage, and regular stock counts;
  • Supervise distribution and logistics activities, ensuring orders are picked, loaded, and delivered safely and efficiently;
  • Implement and track quality control measures and performance standards across all operational areas;
  • Take responsibility for preventive maintenance and repairs of all operational equipment;
  • Lead, mentor, and support operations team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability;
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times;
  • Organise and oversee training programs for staff involved in bottling, packaging, warehousing, logistics, and maintenance;
  • Continuously improve operational processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimise workflows;
  • Define, monitor, and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery efficiency and inventory accuracy;
  • Prepare and present monthly operational reports to the Purchasing & Operations Director;
  • Provide technical and professional input across other business functions when required, even beyond direct areas of responsibility.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related discipline;
  • Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience in operations management within the FMCG or manufacturing industry, ideally in the beverage sector;
  • Solid experience in establishing and monitoring operational standards, including health & safety protocols and key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
