Our client is a leader in distributing products to the African Market.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Processing of quotations and orders via the Group computer system;
  • Sourcing of technical goods from suppliers;
  • Forwarding and following up of quotations from suppliers;
  • Monitoring pricing competitiveness and service support levels of the main Company suppliers;
  • Maintaining and developing strong relationships with current and potential suppliers;
  • Developing a stronger local and foreign supplier base, ensuring a wider product range is available to clients;
  • Conducting meetings and visits to key and potential suppliers;
  • Ensuring that client inquiries are responded to in a punctual manner;
  • Prioritizing inquiries according to profit potential and urgency;
  • Negotiating trading conditions, delivery terms, discounts and rebate schemes with suppliers;
  • Identifying opportunities for special negotiation;
  • Following up on submitted quotations in liaison with the sales manager;
  • Communicating proposals for stocking of new items;
  • Assisting the strategic sourcing department with data collection exercises and any analysis needed;
  • Participating in stock taking exercises;
  • Collecting and sharing important market information.


  • Experience in a similar role with a technical background is considered an asset;
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Navision/Dynamics would be an asset;

  • Able to work individually and as part of a team;
  • Knowledgeable on technical products:
  • Able to work under pressure to tight deadlines;
  • Excellent written and communication skills in English.
