Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Prepare cost estimates for Civil/Architect works and create Bid Documents for both new build and refurbishment/restoration building projects;
• Determine project costs by calculating labor, material, and related expenses;
• Supervise construction projects to ensure compliance with engineering designs and documents, confirming specifications;
• Confirm adherence to construction specifications and safety standards by monitoring project progress, inspecting construction sites, and verifying calculations and placements;
• Validate design issues and suggest alternative solutions;
• Fulfill project requirements by guiding operators;
• Maintain operations by enforcing project and operational policies and procedures;
• Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions;
• Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed;
• Direct, monitor, and control the activities of Civil/Architect Subcontractors;
• Liaise with Consultant Civl/Architect supervisory Engineers, Inspectors, and relevant staff;
• Ensure that Civil/Architect Subcontractors provide and adhere to relevant Quality documentation/records;
• Ensure that Civil/Architect Subcontractors adhere to Project safety regulations;
• Maintain the project database by entering data and completing backups.

Experience

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Architect engineering;
• Possess a valid warrant to practice in Malta;
• Bring a minimum of 5 years of experience in Civil/Architect engineering;
• Demonstrate proficiency in CAD and AutoCAD;
• Display excellent command of both written and spoken English.
