Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Conduct regular cost analyses to ensure alignment with project financial objectives;
  • Oversee interim payment evaluations and manage the cost control process efficiently;
  • Prepare and update monthly Work in Progress (WIP) reports while monitoring financial performance metrics;
  • Perform precise on-site measurements, ensuring meticulous record-keeping;
  • Track and document materials issued and returned for each project;
  • Work closely with Project Leaders to confirm subcontractor rates and optimize resource allocation;
  • Draft claims documentation in line with specifications, drawings, and bills of quantities;
  • Manage design variation claims and collaborate with stakeholders to address associated costs;
  • Audit and certify subcontractor payments, ensuring accuracy in invoice certifications;
  • Ensure adherence to Health and Safety Regulations throughout all project stages;
  • Uphold quality standards by following company protocols and field procedures;
  • Assist in resolving client and subcontractor disputes, fostering positive resolutions;
  • Safeguard confidential information, maintaining trust with clients and stakeholders;
  • Participate in relevant training programs to enhance expertise and meet industry benchmarks.

Experience

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a closely related discipline;
  • Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience, preferably in construction project management, cost control, or similar roles;
  • Comprehensive understanding of contract administration, cost management practices, and construction materials;
  • Fluency in both Maltese and English.
