Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Conduct ongoing cost analysis to ensure financial targets are met;
  • Oversee the cost management process, including interim payment assessments;
  • Track financial performance through monthly Work in Progress (WIP) updates;
  • Perform precise on-site measurements and maintain detailed records;
  • Monitor and document materials issued and returned for each project;
  • Work closely with Project Leaders to verify subcontractor rates and optimize resource use;
  • Prepare claims documentation based on specifications, drawings, and bills of quantities;
  • Manage design variation claims and coordinate additional cost approvals;
  • Audit subcontractor payments and prepare certification for invoices;
  • Ensure adherence to Health and Safety Regulations throughout all project phases;
  • Maintain strict quality control standards and compliance with company procedures;
  • Assist in resolving disputes with clients and subcontractors for positive outcomes;
  • Handle confidential information with discretion to maintain customer trust;
  • Participate in relevant training sessions and assessments to enhance skills and industry knowledge.

Experience

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline;
  • Possess at least 3 years of experience in construction project management, cost control, or a similar role;
  • In-depth understanding of contract administration, cost management strategies, and construction materials;
  • Fluent in both Maltese and English.
