Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Target key sectors within the waste management industry, including commercial clients and municipalities;
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share;
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding specific waste management needs and delivering customized solutions;
  • Conduct presentations to introduce services to prospective clients;
  • Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to contract finalization;
  • Partner with marketing teams to promote waste management services and sustainability efforts;
  • Supervise daily activities, including waste collection, transportation, disposal, and recovery operations;
  • Ensure full compliance with environmental regulations and health and safety standards;
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and contractors for optimal operational efficiency;
  • Track metrics like service delivery times, job progression, and cost efficiency to drive performance improvements;
  • Optimize collection vehicle scheduling and routing to reduce costs and improve service;
  • Implement strategies focused on efficiency, environmental impact reduction, and resource management;
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure sales commitments align with operational capabilities;
  • Work closely with the permitting department to meet local and European waste management regulations;
  • Coordinate with the finance team on budgeting, forecasting, and pricing strategies;
  • Provide insights to operations and business development teams to support innovative waste recovery and disposal solutions;
  • Prepare detailed KPI reports tracking revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and operational performance;
  • Analyze market trends, competitor actions, and industry developments to refine sales and operational strategies;
  • Utilize data analytics to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency in both sales and operations.

Experience

  • Possess 3–5 years of experience in sales and/or operations, preferably within waste management or environmental services;
  • Preferably, hold a diploma in Business, Sales, Operations, Environmental Science, or a related field;
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of waste collection, recovery, disposal, and sustainability practices.

  • Exhibit excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills;
  • Possess strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment;
  • Deliver waste management solutions that align with clients’ sustainability goals;
  • Ensure compliance with environmental sustainability practices and regulations;
  • Lead and motivate cross-functional teams in both sales and operations;
  • Focus on achieving sales targets and enhancing operational efficiency;
  • Identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
