Our client is a boutique accounting and auditing firm.Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Support the planning of audit engagements, including performing risk assessments and developing audit programs;
- Execute tests of controls and substantive procedures in line with auditing standards;
- Review and analyze financial statements, business processes, and internal controls to identify issues and improvement opportunities;
- Prepare accurate working papers and documentation to substantiate audit findings;
- Communicate audit observations to senior auditors and managers, providing practical recommendations for remediation;
- Conduct client interviews and process walkthroughs to understand operations and detect control gaps;
- Assist in drafting audit reports and summaries for management review;
- Monitor and follow up on the remediation of previous audit findings;
- Ensure all work complies with applicable accounting and auditing standards, including IFRS, GAAP, and ISA;
- Support junior staff by reviewing their work and providing guidance as needed.
Experience
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
- Possess 2-4 years of audit experience, preferably in public accounting or internal audit;
- Progress toward a professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CIA, or equivalent) is a plus;
- Solid understanding of auditing standards, internal controls, and accounting principles;
- Proficient in audit and financial software, including Excel, data analytics tools, and audit management platforms.
