Company Introduction
Our client is a boutique accounting and auditing firm.Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients, including posting invoices, reconciling bank statements, and preparing accruals and pre-payments;
- Prepare detailed monthly and quarterly management accounts;
- Compile and submit VAT returns, tax returns, and tax refund claim forms;
- Review and verify clients’ tax forms to ensure accurate and timely submissions;
- Liaise with external auditors and ensure compliance with IFRS and GAPSME frameworks;
- Review the work of junior team members, providing guidance and feedback;
- Communicate with clients to obtain required documentation for accounting and tax purposes;
- Research and interpret tax laws, assisting clients with applicable tax credit schemes;
- Respond to notices from tax authorities and liaise with the relevant entities;
- Support non-financial managers by interpreting and presenting financial data;
- Assist management with ad hoc accounting and financial requests.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
- Several years of experience in an accounting role, preferably with client portfolio management;
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and GAPSME standards;
- Proven experience in preparing management accounts, VAT, and tax returns;
- Familiarity with compliance, tax laws, and regulatory frameworks;
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
