Our client is a leading player in corporate and accountancy services.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Ensuring that all audits are carried out according to deadline and preparing tax computations and return of audit clients;
  • Audits and financial reporting of different types of companies;
  • Providing audit and tax advice as necessary whilst being responsible for carrying out and completing the financial audit as necessary;
  • Preparation of tax computation and tax return of above mentioned companies;
  • Train, mentor and assist junior staff;
  • Being in contact with clients in order to gather the information and documentation needed for the audit to be carried out successfully;
  • Preparation of management accounts, analysis of variances and other ratios where need arises;
  • Advise clients on audit and tax matters.

Experience

  • Internationally recognized profession accounting qualification: University degree or ACCA or ACA;
  • Knowledge of the Companies Act and the Income Tax Act is a must;
  • At least 2 years' experience in an audit related role with an audit firm will be considered an asset;
  • Knowledge of IFRS’s, GAPSE and ISA’s is essential.

Personal Skills

  • Strong communication skills – both written and spoken in English, Maltese and Italian will be considered an asset;
  • Analytical mind as well as an eye for detail;
  • Able to work on own initiative;
  • Good teamwork practice;
  • Must be organised.
