Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Prepare monthly accruals and prepayments to support accurate financial reporting;
- Post and process journal entries in a timely manner;
- Assist with month-end closing activities to ensure smooth and accurate financial close;
- Serve as a point of contact for Finance Executives, providing guidance on issues and escalating matters when necessary;
- Coordinate tasks and responsibilities to ensure deadlines are consistently met;
- Ensure accurate and timely posting of financial data into the system;
- Verify compliance with established procedures before processing any financial information;
- Review internal accounting processes, policies, and controls, recommending improvements as appropriate;
- Support the finance team and accounting staff with various accounting functions;
- Provide backup for certain duties, including researching, tracking, and resolving accounting discrepancies or escalating issues when needed;
- Maintain ongoing communication with other departments to gather necessary information and ensure correct transaction processing.
Experience
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in a finance role;
- Possession of professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, CFA, or CMA is an advantage;
- Experience within the engineering, construction, or maritime sectors is highly desirable.
