Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Responsible for reviewing quotes and addressing other requests;
  • Create sales targets along with Sales and Marketing Manager;
  • Assess pace to previous year/s and combine this knowledge with competition analysis, market indications, and destination forecasts;
  • Follow up on stock sold, cancelled stock, sales pickup, and the average rate of picked-up stock;
  • Keep up closely with emerging technologies to gain a competitive advantage;
  • Supervise Sales Coordinators for timely replies to queries from potential guests or existing bookers regarding seasonally advertised products, customizations, and other requests;
  • Conduct daily overviews, reviewing tasks, meetings/appointments, and addressing queries raised by Sales Coordinators;
  • Manage staff performance in compliance with company policies and procedures;
  • Mentor, direct, and assist Sales Coordinators, identifying weaknesses and turning them into strengths;
  • Standardise and simplify processes, assist with meetings, and other managerial duties;
  • Assist in greeting, meeting, and hosting existing or prospective customers outside office hours to generate revenue; entertaining suppliers or key accounts as needed;
  • Review and implement actions to improve existing systems or make them more effective;
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role;
  • In-depth knowledge of the hospitality industry, particularly within hotel reservations or sales environments.

  • Patience and ability to understand complex processes;
  • Experience in mentoring and directing team members;
  • Ability to identify flaws and take corrective action.
