Our client is a leading organisation in accounting, audit, tax, corporate services and business advisory.Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Report to the Accounting managing Partner;
- Supervising and monitoring the work prepared by the team to ensure established policies and procedures are always followed;
- Supervising and overseeing the daily operations of the Tax department;
- Planning, prioritising, and resourcing for the successful completion of daily tasks and projects;
- Providing excellent customer service, ensuring clients receive prompt and accurate advice to their requests and queries;
- Building and maintaining effective business relationships with clients while fostering open communication to manage expectations and meet deadlines;
- Training and assisting in the formulation of professional development and educational plans for members of staff;
- Adopting a proactive approach;
- Being capable of providing Tax and VAT advisory services at the highest level;
- Reviewing tax returns for corporates, individuals, and other bodies of persons;
- Reviewing tax refund forms and shareholders registration forms;
- Assisting the responsible Partner in complex Tax and VAT advisory projects;
- Assisting in the preparation of articles, newsletters, and other marketing materials;
- Setting and achieving key performance targets for the team in line with the Group’s objectives;
- Supporting and working closely with other entities within the Group to ensure a seamless flow of information and work practices.
Experience
- Holding a university degree at master’s level in taxation, ACA or ACCA;
- At least 3 years’ experience in a senior tax role;
- Experienced in managing a team as well as inspiring, mentoring, and supervising team members to meet demanding deadlines;
- Experience in domestic as well as in cross border and international tax issues.
- Strong knowledge of the IFRS and GAPSME reporting standards.
Personal Skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English;
- Ability to work well with a team and possess strong interpersonal skills;
- Conversant with standard software packages, proficient in MS Excel and be ready to learn company-specific software if required;
- A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards.
