Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Be responsible for a specific service offered by the company;
  • Manage a team of people to ensure efficient two-way communication;
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with legislation, policies, and procedures;
  • Promote excellence in the services being delivered by the company;
  • Support in the on-going delivery of high levels of service;
  • Take part in revenue management to control costs and maximise revenue;
  • Review reports ad monitor KPIs to identify trends and propose new solutions to improve the overall planning, execution and cost effectiveness of the service;
  • Keep up-to-date with new technologies that could be utilised to improve service delivery, efficiency and increase revenues;
  • Propose new ways to improve customer experience and the attractiveness of the service;
  • Propose commercial offers to increase the number of users;
  • Perform competitor analysis and prepare contingency plans to prepare for and react to changes in the market;
  • Utilise the service and be present to monitor its quality and ensure that changes are being communicated and executed effectively;
  • Control the daily operations of the service including scheduling;
  • Handle incidents as an when they occur and communicate these to the control room to ensure service levels are maintained;
  • Direct and supervise personnel carrying out quality controls;
  • Ensure adherence to the norms and policies for Health and Safety, Risk Prevention, Data Protection, Quality and Environmental Control within the sphere of his/her duties;
  • Manage resources and leave plans in a cost-effective way;
  • Cooperate with the Deputy Operations Director in tasks as may be deemed necessary from time-to-time.

 Experience

  • Possess a University Degree;
  • Have at least 3 years experience in a similar role;
  • Experience and qualifications related to the Transport and Logistics industries will be considered an asset.

Personal Skills

  • Be mature, reliable and energetic;
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Perform well under pressure;
  • Have good communication and teamworking skills;
  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
