Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Design and develop high-quality software solutions using the technologies and specifications defined by the company;
• Deploy, support, and troubleshoot ERP systems, including technical debugging and issue resolution;
• Carry out system upgrades and patch management using the designated Central Versioning System (CVS);
• Maintain version control in line with established internal procedures;
• Configure and support automotive manufacturer system interfaces as required;
• Deliver technical training, ERP administration support, and consultancy services to users and clients;
• Develop custom reports tailored to customer requirements;
• Provide technical analysis and second-line support to resolve complex system issues;
• Support technical aspects of projects throughout implementation and delivery phases;
• Build advanced expertise in selected ERP functional and technical areas;
• Coordinate and participate in user acceptance testing activities;
• Perform thorough testing to ensure high-quality software releases;
• Adhere to agreed project schedules and delivery timelines;
• Follow company coding standards and best practices;
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to development and support activities;
• Release and implement new or enhanced software internally and at client sites in accordance with company procedures;
• Investigate and resolve reported software defects efficiently and within agreed timeframes;
• Provide ongoing support for modules developed or enhanced by the team;
• Collaborate with other teams to assist with client support and issue resolution.

Experience

• A first degree in Software Development or a related discipline;
• Solid foundational knowledge of database systems, including ISAM, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server;
• Good working knowledge of programming languages and technologies such as VB, C/C++, web services, XML, and SOAP;
• Understanding of API design principles, system architecture, and best practices, including REST (JSON) and SOAP (XML);
• Experience or familiarity with server administration on NT and Unix-based platforms is considered an asset.
