Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Carry out the installation of solar PV systems on both residential and commercial sites, ensuring compliance with design plans and local codes;
• Prepare and construct the mounting systems by measuring, cutting, and assembling racking structures to support solar modules;
• Handle the electrical wiring of key components, such as inverters, batteries, and junction boxes;
• Integrate solar panels into the existing electrical infrastructure, ensuring all connections meet safety and regulatory standards;
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of installed systems to maximise energy efficiency and performance;
• Identify and resolve technical faults or performance issues through troubleshooting and repair;
• Adhere strictly to safety guidelines, including electrical safety protocols and fall protection measures;
• Coordinate with installers, electricians, and site supervisors to ensure project timelines and budgets are met;
• Maintain detailed documentation of installations and provide progress updates to the project manager.

Experience

• Hands-on experience in solar installation, roofing, electrical work, or related trades is highly valued;
• Solid understanding of basic electrical systems and confidence in using both hand and power tools;
• A valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation will be considered an asset;
• A high school diploma (or equivalent) is required; additional technical certifications, especially in solar installation (e.g., NABCEP) or electrical work, are considered an advantage;
• Experience with both rooftop and ground-mounted solar systems is beneficial;
• Familiarity with solar system software and monitoring tools is a plus.

Personal Skills

• Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions, with the physical ability to handle equipment weighing up to 25 kg;
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
