Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Oversee and maintain the Windows Server infrastructure (2016/2019/2022) to ensure optimal performance and security;
  • Manage VMware ESXi hosts and vCenter Server environments, including the provisioning and ongoing management of virtual machines throughout their lifecycle;
  • Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and certificate services for efficient system operations;
  • Conduct regular system updates, security patching, and resolve vulnerabilities to maintain system integrity;
  • Develop and implement system backup strategies, disaster recovery plans, and high-availability configurations;
  • Monitor system performance and take proactive measures to enhance reliability and efficiency;
  • Address incidents and service requests, providing Tier 2/3 support and ensuring timely resolution;
  • Maintain thorough documentation for infrastructure, workflows, and policies to ensure consistency and transparency.

Experience

  • Over 3 years of experience in systems administration, specializing in Windows Server and VMware environments;
  • Advanced proficiency with VMware vSphere and vCenter management;
  • Extensive experience managing Active Directory, Group Policy, and domain services;
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, and firewalls;
  • Hands-on experience with backup solutions like Veeam and Commvault, along with disaster recovery strategies;
  • Proficient in PowerShell scripting and automation;
  • Deep knowledge of security best practices for server and virtualization environments;
  • VMware VCP, Microsoft Certified, or similar certifications are advantageous;
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Nagios or PRTG is a plus;
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and hybrid environments is a valuable asset.
