Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Administer, monitor, and maintain Windows Server environments (2016, 2019, and 2022);
  • Manage and support VMware infrastructure, including ESXi hosts and vCenter Server;
  • Create, configure, and manage virtual machines throughout their full lifecycle;
  • Administer Active Directory services, including DNS, DHCP, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and certificate services;
  • Ensure the security, integrity, and availability of identity and access management systems;
  • Support and assist with network configurations in collaboration with the wider IT team;
  • Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability to ensure optimal operation;
  • Proactively identify risks, performance bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement;
  • Contribute to the continuous optimisation of infrastructure reliability and efficiency;
  • Respond to infrastructure-related incidents and service requests in a timely manner;
  • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support as required;
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date technical documentation for all systems and infrastructure components.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in systems administration;
  • Experience working with ERP systems is considered an advantage;
  • Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere environments, including vCenter;
  • Strong practical knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and domain services;
  • Solid understanding of core networking concepts such as TCP/IP, VLANs, and firewall configurations;
  • Experience working with backup and disaster recovery solutions (e.g. Veeam, Commvault, or similar);
  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting and automation for system administration tasks;
  • Working knowledge of IT security principles and best practices;
  • Professional certifications such as VMware VCP, Microsoft Certified, or equivalent are considered an asset;
  • Exposure to infrastructure monitoring tools (e.g. Nagios, PRTG, or similar) is considered a plus;
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and/or AWS, including hybrid environments;
  • Understanding of ERP systems and related business processes
