Our client is a leading player in the security sector.Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Administer, monitor, and maintain Windows Server environments (2016, 2019, and 2022);
- Manage and support VMware infrastructure, including ESXi hosts and vCenter Server;
- Create, configure, and manage virtual machines throughout their full lifecycle;
- Administer Active Directory services, including DNS, DHCP, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and certificate services;
- Ensure the security, integrity, and availability of identity and access management systems;
- Support and assist with network configurations in collaboration with the wider IT team;
- Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability to ensure optimal operation;
- Proactively identify risks, performance bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement;
- Contribute to the continuous optimisation of infrastructure reliability and efficiency;
- Respond to infrastructure-related incidents and service requests in a timely manner;
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support as required;
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date technical documentation for all systems and infrastructure components.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in systems administration;
- Experience working with ERP systems is considered an advantage;
- Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere environments, including vCenter;
- Strong practical knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and domain services;
- Solid understanding of core networking concepts such as TCP/IP, VLANs, and firewall configurations;
- Experience working with backup and disaster recovery solutions (e.g. Veeam, Commvault, or similar);
- Familiarity with PowerShell scripting and automation for system administration tasks;
- Working knowledge of IT security principles and best practices;
- Professional certifications such as VMware VCP, Microsoft Certified, or equivalent are considered an asset;
- Exposure to infrastructure monitoring tools (e.g. Nagios, PRTG, or similar) is considered a plus;
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and/or AWS, including hybrid environments;
- Understanding of ERP systems and related business processes
