Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Support clients across various industries with the preparation and submission of Malta income tax returns, tax refund claims, and other relevant tax documentation;
- Ensure accurate and timely filing in line with regulatory requirements;
- Assist clients with complex tax transactions and provide guidance on proper tax compliance;
- Stay up to date with changes in Malta tax legislation and provide informed advice;
- Conduct tax research and analysis on challenging cases under appropriate guidance;
- Liaise with Malta tax authorities on behalf of clients;
- Respond to tax authority notices and coordinate with relevant parties as required.
Experience
- Qualified with an accounting degree or ACCA; candidates in the final stages of their ACCA qualification are also encouraged to apply;
- Previous experience in Malta tax is an advantage;
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.
Personal Skills
- Full professional fluency in English (C1/C2 level in reading, writing, speaking, and listening);
- Excellent communication and active listening skills;
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively;
- Capable of working independently, managing time efficiently, and adapting to shifting tasks;
- Works well under pressure, especially during deadlines;
- Reliable, responsible, and maintains a professional attitude at all times.
